Jews@Work II
150 Years of Commerce & Industry in Oregon, Part II (1922-2005)
October 30, 2005 - April 16, 2006

By the time immigration from Eastern Europe halted in 1924, Oregon Jews were actively pursuing American ideals. They were increasingly comfortable with a modern and urban way of life. As Oregonians, they weathered the same events as their neighbors: the Depression, World War II, rapid post-war growth, social change, and the boom years of the 1990s. By chronicling the lives of Jewish businessmen and women, Jews@Work, Part II, considered the possibilities and limitations of making a living in Oregon.
