The New Year of the Trees
An Exhibit of Quilts in honor of Tu B'Shevat

June - August, 2000

This exhibit brought together quilts, tapestries and sculptures created by 10 Colorado fiber artists. The works celebrated Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish holiday tied to the blossoming of almond trees in Israel. The stunning pieces combined a wide variety of surface treatments, free embroidery and layered fabrics resulting in innovative two and three dimensional art that is both artistic and technically skilled.
